About Jorrit

Jorrit brings over 17 years of experience in the Australian property industry, specialising in commercial office, medical, retail, and industrial development and redevelopment projects. He has delivered major projects across Australia’s capital cities, combining institutional-grade development expertise with hands-on project execution.

Before founding Ivybridge, Jorrit spent 10 years as a Senior Development Manager with one of Australia's largest ASX-listed property funds, where he led the end-to-end delivery of around $500 million in complex development and redevelopment projects throughout Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide. His responsibilities spanned site acquisition, feasibility analysis, strategy, capital structuring, design management, procurement, construction delivery, and leasing.

Earlier in his career, Jorrit gained critical on-site experience as a Construction Project Manager with several leading managing contractors. In these roles, he oversaw the successful delivery of commercial construction and fitout projects through all construction phases — including project programming, contract administration, design resolution, site supervision, stakeholder coordination, and defect close-out. This practical foundation has given him a deep understanding of construction methodology, risk management, and real-world delivery constraints — enabling him to drive better outcomes through all stages of the development lifecycle.

Jorrit holds a Bachelor of Construction Management, a Master of Business Administration, a Graduate Certificate in Real Estate Investment & Finance, and a Graduate Certificate in Town Planning. He has also contributed to the Australia & New Zealand Property Journal, authoring well-regarded research on strategies for maximising property development outcomes.
